In the running for the National Gallery Award were: Artist and music producer Lamin Fofana, Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff, who work with photography and videos, and Vietnamese-born conceptual artist and sculptor Sung Tieu. However, it was the artist Sandra Mujinga who prevailed with her installation of interwoven fabric panels that run through the exhibition spaces.
