During the pandemic, many artists found themselves in need. The Akademie der Künste in Berlin is now responding by awarding special scholarships to those affected. The German government is providing 5 million euros for this purpose, which will be awarded nationwide. The money is to be divided among around 800 projects from all areas of the arts. Up to 6,000 euros is earmarked for each. The deadline for applications is July 15. The application portal will be activated on June 15: www.adk.de/initial.
