The Künstlersozialkasse (KSK) provides social security for artists. Lawyer Andri Jürgensen gives an overview of the benefits and requirements of the KSK: What is it all about? What are the benefits for creative artists? Who can become a member? How much is the KSK contribution? What is the application procedure? What can I do if I receive a rejection notice?
Series of lectures for freelancers, entrepreneurs and tradespeople: Lack of entrepreneurial skills slows down the process of establishing oneself as a freelancer, entrepreneur or trader. The aim of the series of events is to familiarise interested parties with the economic framework conditions of setting up a business in the creative industries. In weekly impulse lectures, experts from the field provide information on topics such as artists’ social insurance, taxes, preparing offers, marketing and acquisition, and impart basic knowledge. These basics are intended to facilitate the start of self-employment and to expand the professional expertise with knowledge of the economic framework conditions in the creative industries. After each lecture, participants can ask the experts their individual questions.
Participation is free of charge. Participation is open not only to students and young professionals, but also to all freelancers, entrepreneurs and tradespeople in Hamburg’s creative industries. The lectures will take place digitally.
