With the new digital series “MOVE IT”, Kulturförderpunkt Berlin focuses on artistic production, collaboration and exchange in an international and global context. We address the various fields that are activated when it comes to the international mobility of artists and cultural workers: networking and building partnerships, funding, the value of working abroad as an artist, and more.
In the upcoming sessions of “MOVE IT”, funding programs will be presented and experienced artists will be invited, cultural organizations and networks will be invited to share their stories and shed light on the potential of spending time abroad. This will give artists and cultural professionals a first overview of funding opportunities and insights into the practical implementation of projects with partners abroad.
#1 (Digital) Networking
The first issue of “MOVE IT” is dedicated to a challenge that already existed before the Corona crisis, but has gained in importance as a result of it: How to network internationally? An international network is particularly relevant for artists and cultural workers who aspire to transcultural, cross-border or international projects. In this issue, different approaches are presented when it comes to “(Digital) Networking” – approaches that show solutions how to approach this topic especially in a situation that forces digital encounters.
