Organizer: Kulturstiftung des Bundes
Welcome to the digital Climate Workshop Theater! On April 12, it’s all about environmental sustainability in the performing arts. Together with its partners, the organizer is looking forward to welcoming you to a day full of inspiration, interactive workshops and diverse exchange.
The focus of the Climate Workshop is on aesthetic and structural questions about narratives, formats and production conditions of the performing arts in times of climate change: What can artistic mobility and (international) theater work look like in the future? What artistic concepts are there? What are the relevant operational ecological levers in theater? What does sustainability in a holistic sense mean for the cultural sector?
The Climate Workshop approaches these complex questions in different formats: In the morning, it offers a platform for networking and open discussion. In the afternoon, discussions and workshops will focus on concrete knowledge for theater practice.
The Climate Workshop Theater addresses all actors of the German theater scene as well as an interested professional public. Registration is possible until April 8. The workshops are open to all theater professionals, regardless of their independent or institutional work contexts (mixing is encouraged!), but the number of participants is limited. Previous experience is not required. Individual workshop parts will be recorded and will be available to all participants of the Climate Workshop as video-on-demand afterwards.
The Climate Workshop Theater is an event of the Federal Cultural Foundation / Fonds Doppelpass in cooperation with the Action Network Sustainability in Culture and Media, the AG Klima / dramaturgische gesellschaft, the German Stage Association, the Federal Association of Independent Performing Arts and the German Theater Technical Society.
