Organizer: Games Academy™ GmbH
Outcome: a small 2D game, built in the course (e.g. as a work sample for job applications).
Description: The participants create within a short time a level of a game, which is given in its rule basis by the lecturer and worked out in the course. This level consists of predefined assets, which are roughly given as entities. The individual game is created by the own extension of the entities by simple scripts and the arrangement in the level, by which own challenges are implemented. In essence, the project teaches simple level and game design with a challenge curve, risk & reward and similar constructs. Along the way, participants learn to understand a simple design framework, e.g. MDA.
Tools: Given asset package, base scene with attached pre-built scripts in a game engine (e.g. Unity).
There is a maximum of 16 participant seats available.
