Organizer: Future of Festivals GmbH
What future are festivals and major events looking forward to? What can secure formats for the summer of 2022 look like? These and other highly topical questions of the festival industry will be the focus of the trade fair “Future of Festivals” on 26 and Saturday, 27 November in the Arena Berlin.
At the largest industry meeting for all organizers, associations, service providers and trainees from the festival sector, in addition to 200 exhibitors, 140 speakers and panelists will exchange views on topics such as festivals in times of pandemic, sponsorship, hygiene safety precautions or funding opportunities as part of the conference program.
New formats, solutions and safety concepts need to be developed right now and visions for a future of festivals need to be drafted.
Due to the great demand, the organizers want to expand the exhibition space. In addition, even more space is to be created in the program for showcases and workshops. “Stronger than ever, we want to promote young start-ups as well as innovations and further develop the Future Of Festivals Award for our exhibitor. We also want to meet the many requests for more internationality and open up even more to the European and international festival scene.”
Future Of Festival Award
The FOF Innovation Award 2021 will be presented on Friday evening and is the highlight of the Future of Festival conference: All companies that focus on creating extraordinary projects, ideas, apps and co for the event industry can apply. Exclusively event organizers then have the final say and vote live on site for their favorite. In doing so, they can discover the products and services of the FoF exhibitors in advance, test the offerings themselves and thus get a feel for the products. The FOF Innovation Award 2021 is thus not only a selection of winners, but also a statement from industry decision-makers about the much-needed tools and ideas that will be used next season. The basic rule: each festival has only one vote, regardless of the size of the festival. This gives all nominees a fair chance, regardless of whether their offerings are geared toward smaller or larger festivals (or everyone in between). Following the awards ceremony, there will be plenty of time for networking and sharing ideas, discussions and, of course, a drink or two with like-minded people from the industry. Of course, we will also provide the appropriate musical supporting program – because what would a conference for festival organizers be without live entertainment?
