For the past four years, Europe’s only Christmas film festival has been taking on the theme of Christmas in all its wonderful and strange facets. In national and international feature-length films and short film blocks, the Christmas theme is examined from all sides. Unconventional Christmas films are clearly in the foreground. In addition to Christmas comedies, the programme also includes critical, tragic, satirical and gruesome contributions. Even if the ‘festival of love’ is polarising, it is worth getting involved with the ‘spirit of Christmas’. In the dark season, the cinema becomes a magical place that makes you think, touches you and sometimes even brings a smile to your face.
The Christmas Film Festival is aimed at all those who want to escape the Christmas stress, those who do not have their loved ones close by and, of course, passionate cineastes. Let’s spend beautiful, contemplative, entertaining holidays together in the cinema and take a fresh look at the otherwise traditional Christmas
