Digital congress on the cultural and creative industries in the pandemic
Updated scientific analyses have just been published, once again confirming what was already to be expected with regard to practice: With a drop in sales of 22.4 billion euros, the cultural and creative industries are particularly hard hit by the consequences of the pandemic in a Germany-wide macroeconomic comparison. On March 25th, the Competence Center Cultural and Creative Industries of the Federal Government is therefore dedicating a digital congress to the topic.
What experiences have institutions, associations and, of course, the players themselves had? How have they dealt with the difficult situation? What lessons can we learn from the past year? In addition to analyzing the status quo, the focus will also be on possible perspectives: What does it mean in concrete terms for the future of the industry if the cultural and creative industries are set back by years due to the effects of the pandemic? What scenarios are conceivable? And how do we deal with them?
You can expect a program of dialog formats, lightning talks and a panel discussion. The congress will take place digitally and participation is free of charge. Afterwards, you are invited to exchange your own thoughts and experiences on the topic at the first network dialogue of the Competence Center.
