The 93rd Academy Awards will be held at the historic Union Station and Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on April 25th, despite the coronavirus pandemic. Historic are the Oscar nominations this year because it shows an unprecedented diversity in terms of the number of female and non-white filmmakers.
Nominees include Marvel star Chadwick Boseman for the Academy Award. But Amazon and Netflix can also hope for prizes. The streaming service Netflix is entering the ceremony for the most important film award with several films. However, films from competitor Amazon are also in the running.
